And now, a wee moment of reflection. There’s a serene, bonny quality to this Glen Elgin 12 Year Old single malt, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. There’s a good chance if you have bought any Boutique-y Whisky gift sets, that you may have encountered this dram as it’s become a fan favourite. This is the fifth batch of Glen Elgin, and is from a vatting of ex-bourbon hogsheads, distilled in February 2006. This is a limited-edition release of 1830 bottles and is presented at 49.1% abv (a low strength for the Boutique-y folk!).
The label shows Lord Elgin looking on at a typical Scottish glen. Take this bottle on your next dander through the countryside, and you too can appreciate the scenic quality inherent within this expression.
